Nightfall Music Series • Live Music with  Rye Baby (Opening) // Headliners: Joanna Connor • The Nightfall Free Concert Series is held each Friday night – rain or shine – in Miller Plaza, downtown Chattanooga. Headlining acts begin at 8pm with local opening acts starting at 7pm • The 2021 series runs from June 4th – September 10th • Bring your kids, lawn chairs, pets and friends to enjoy great live music, food, cocktails, have an ice cold beer, and shop local artisans at the corner of Market Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard starting at 6:30pm and going on until 10pm • There’s motorcycle parking on the closed portion of Market Street alongside the plaza and plenty of parking close by for everyone •  6:30 pm • • • THIS WEEK: “BACK TO SCHOOL BASH” Motorcycle parking in the streets at Nightfall will be suspended for the next two weeks to allow for the extra space needed to accommodate the number of art vendors and school-related activities and displays designed to support the Hamilton County public schools. Adding to the music this week, collection bins for school supply donations will be provided by the Chattanooga Football Club as they launch their weekend of supporting Hamilton County Schools (they will also have their inflatable soccer field on site for kids’ entertainment). Because Nightfall is a proud supporter of the arts, art supplies are a priority in this Friday’s school supply drive. We add a list at the bottom of this post for what is needed to help our local schools, students, & teachers. Along with the collection bins, a school bus will be in the street to “stuff” with school supplies for the Hamilton County School “Teacher Shop” to offer free school supplies for teachers and classrooms. First Student First will also be taking applications for 2021-2022 school bus drivers. There will also be a firetruck on site to educate children & families on fire prevention. To showcase the emphasis on supporting artists both in and out of school, there will be a greater number of artisan vendors at this Friday’s concert, including 25 – 30 booths which will be set up all along Market Street.
