There’s no Pops on the River this year, so we’re throwing our own outdoor party as a fundraiser for the CTC! • We’re transforming our traditional Star Spangled Supper into a rip-roarin’ STAR SPANGLED PICNIC on our beautiful riverfront lawn. We’ll have BBQ by Sugar’s Ribs, ice cream from Clumpies, and music by the Premiere Jazz Orchestra. City of Soddy-Daisy • This Independence Day festival, which opens with a Firecracker Rod Run at 9:00 am Saturday, July 3, will have crafts, kids games and food vendors set up all day at Soddy-Daisy Kids Club, 150 Depot St., near Soddy Lake • The car show ends with a trophy presentation at 1:00 pm • The bands Barefoot Nellie & Company will perform at Noon, Roberts & Sims at 3:00 pm, and Tyson Leamon at 7:00 pm • Chainsaw woodcarvers will offer demonstrations for three days starting Thursday, July 1, and will have a silent auction before the fireworks Saturday night at Dark

1945 Dade County Fair • Country star T. Graham Brown (“Darlene,” “Hell and High Water”) will headline the 1945 Dade County Fair • His performance, at 7:00 pm will lead into the fireworks show to close out the festivities • Also performing during the day are SoLT at 12:30 pm // Southwind at 1:30 pm // Crazy Flute at 3:00 pm // Dallas Walker at 5:00 pm // Chris Shupe at 6:00 pm • Activities include an array of contests (pinewood derby, MoonPie eating, watermelon eating, pie baking, frozen T-shirt, hairy legs), as well as a softball tournament, talent show, antique car show, all-day bingo, home run derby and corn hole and horseshoe tournaments. The City of Etowah • The Fourth of July festivities will take place Saturday, July 3, at L&N Depot, 727 Tennessee Ave. Starting the day are the Boy Scout breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and the Independence Road Race at 8 p.m. A beauty pageant, family games and music on two stages are scheduled during the day, with the Dexter Thomas Band performing at 8 p.m. Fireworks start at 9:45 p.m. Free admission.
City of Dunlap TN• There’s just something special about a July 4th celebration in Dunlap, Tennessee! • This year events will be held on Saturday, July 3rd. Parade begins at 9:00 AM, that will take the “traditional” route through town and ends at Harris Park with food and fun events. Live music will begin at 10:30 AM and continues throughout the day, featuring numerous local bands. Headline event begins at 7:30 PM with Mark Wills and fireworks immediately following. This scaled-back celebration will open at 5 p.m. with Graysville Fire Department apparatus on display and appearances by the mascot, Sparky. The Michael Seabolt Band will take the stage at 6 p.m. Fireworks start at 10 p.m. Proceeds from concession sales and an auction benefit the fire department. Free admission.

Creative Discovery Museum • Red, White and Blue Day • Come celebrate America’s birthday at Creative Discovery Museum’s annual Red, White and Blue Day! From noon to 4 p.m. on July 4, guests will participate in several patriotic-themed crafts and activities that teach children about the reason the 4th of July is celebrated every year. At 3 p.m., head to the Plaza for a 21-Diet Coke geyser salute to honor the military men and women who have served our country. Cleveland TN • Fourth of July fireworks will once again light the sky over Paul Huff Parkway! According to James Sears, lead pastor at Mt. Olive Church of God, this year’s fireworks show is scheduled for Sunday, July 4, beginning at 9:15 p.m. The fireworks will be shot from the T.L. Lowery Ministry Center, adjacent to Bradley Square Mall on Paul Huff Parkway. There will also be a presentation of “Amazing Grace” played on bagpipes, and a portion of the evening in which each branch of the military will be highlighted. The show will be synchronized to music from Mix 104.1 WCLE and prizes will be given away beginning at 7:00 pm • The fireworks show is sponsored by Cleveland Ford and the City of Cleveland and organized by Mt. Olive Church of God.
